So, if you’ve never heard of the band The Flaming Lips, you should probably stop reading right here until you do yourself a favor and youtube, google, spotify, itunes or whatever them, and enlighten yourself. Then continue reading.

The Flaming Lips are known for coming around Fredonia to record whenever they can. So sometimes you’ll hear of Wayne Coyne sightings around campus. I was doing my stalking all week and was in no luck. But last night, just as me and my group of friends were about to call it a night after getting some food, Joscelyn grabs me and starts saying “Wayne Coyne, Wayne Coyne, Wayne Coyne….” I turn around and he’s walking past the strip club in town. My friend Mike calls out to him and him and the drummer come over to us and start chatting with us. Then jokingly, Mike says to Wayne, “Yo man are you gonna go see some naked chicks right now?” His response: “Hell yeah, you wanna come with us?”

In we went to Club 35. Wayne paid all of our covers at the door. He sat in between me and Joscelyn, and we watched him drop 10’s and 20’s on the girls on the stage. Oh, and then we brought him to our friend’s house afterwards to have some drinks.

It was the most perfect night of my life.
